What Is Stage 3?
Stage 3 is the third stage of the business lifecycle, following the Startup (infancy) and Entrepreneurial (early childhood) stages. It's the stage where the business begins to mature and grow in complexity, usually beyond the founder's ability to lead it alone. It's the stage in which the business should begin transitioning to operational and financial maturity. Usually, though, this stage is full of chaos that can be hard to escape.
Think of Stage 3 as the teenage years of a business. It can be a turbulent time, a time of feeling overwhelmed and uncertain, usually triggered by the company's growth. It's the phase when many business owners question whether they have what it takes to achieve lasting success.
